Opportunities ahead and a new Managing Partner at EMW

We’ve got some great news to share – we’re delighted to announce that EMW has appointed James Geary as our Managing Partner.

James actually began his career in law right here at EMW. He joined as a Trainee Solicitor before quickly progressing to Associate. Here he grew a wealth of expertise in commercial law and, after a successful five years as Head of Legal at The Wastepack Group, James came back to join EMW as Head of Commercial before taking on the role of Head of Business Development in 2019.

Doing things differently – the EMW way

At EMW we are a full-service law firm, and we pride ourselves on doing things differently – it’s not just what we do but how we do it that makes us distinctive. Across our offices in London, Milton Keynes, Gatwick and Brighton we work with a wide range of UK and International clients, and we do this by talking their language.

We think the same way as our clients, we have the same challenges, and see ourselves a business that sells legal services rather than the typical traditional law firm. We have a team full of talented individuals with real expertise in their field – and so we ditch the legal jargon take a genuine interest in our clients and their businesses.

Creating opportunities

Here at EMW we have been working hard to build the team and the structures to allow us to drive growth for us and for our clients, to grab hold of the opportunities that change offers both them and us. With James as Managing Partner, EMW is in a fantastic position to realise these opportunities as Nick Lloyd, Chair of EMW explains:
