Commercial Real Estate Deals August 2026

EMW’s Commercial Real Estate team continued to deliver outstanding results throughout August 2026, advising clients on a wide range of complex property transactions across the UK. From lease renewals and acquisitions to strategic restructures, we work closely with businesses across multiple sectors to help them achieve their commercial objectives.

Highlights from the month include:

• Completed the lease of a purpose-built headquarters and distribution centre in Milton Keynes for the UK subsidiary of a global industrial solutions manufacturer, supporting the client’s continued operational growth and expansion strategy.
• Acted for an international bank and its borrower on a £2.35 million refinancing facility, securing funding to facilitate the borrower’s ongoing growth, investment and business development objectives.
• Exchanged contracts for the acquisition of 75 affordable housing units in Bedfordshire on behalf of a longstanding client, with a development value of approximately £14.5 million, from a national housebuilder.
• Completed the acquisition of a coastal property, guiding the client through all aspects of the transaction, from detailed due diligence and risk management through to successful completion.
• Advised an international sports retail and fitting operator on its UK expansion programme, adapting its licence agreement precedent for compliance with UK real estate law and supporting the acquisition of new leasehold premises.

Over the past year, we’ve advised on matters involving retail, residential development, commercial offices, investment property and businesses in the film and television sector. The work has taken us from landmark developments and city centre offices to transactions closer to home in London and the South East. No two clients are looking to achieve exactly the same thing, which is what keeps the work interesting.
