Berkshire Consultancy Holdings Limited, which specialises in management and leadership development, was established in 1994 and has a formidable track record across public and private sectors, with clients including the likes of HS2, Hitachi, several universities and Government-wide talent programmes.
Mike Robinson the exiting majority shareholder and Sarah Hunter, the MD of Berkshire Consultancy Holdings Limited had the following to say:
“The EOT route was the perfect vehicle for us to transfer the business to the new management team and to enable them to grow from the current excellent sales platform – the new energy and enthusiasm is palpable. This is strongly correlated to the support provided throughout by Tracy and her team. We have been very impressed not just by her knowledge, but the efficient way she explained matters in plain English. We have found elsewhere that lawyers can complicate issues, so I have been impressed by the way Tracy has helped us through the many legal documents with patience and clarity, while responding quickly and accurately to any amendments agreed.”
Tracy Evans comments:
“The transition to employee ownership is an increasingly popular succession route and one that brings benefits to both the sellers and the employees. It has been a pleasure working with Mike Robinson and Sarah Hunter at Berkshire Consultancy and we wish them all the best in the future.”
Our Corporate team lead by Tracy Evans advised on the sale of the entire issued share capital of Berkshire Consultancy Holdings Limited to an employee ownership trust and the implementation of an EMI scheme. The Berkshire Consultancy EOT (as the Employee Ownership Trust will be known), now owns 100% of the group on behalf of the employees, and all employees will enjoy the benefits of the company’s success after one year of service.
